Match Ancient-Looking Tiles
Aztec Mahjong is a tile-matching puzzle game that gives classic Mahjong Solitaire an Aztec-style appearance. Instead of a plain set of traditional tiles, the board uses symbols and artwork inspired by an Aztec theme. Your job is to remove matching pairs until no tiles remain.
The game contains 20 levels. New layouts make finding usable pairs harder as you continue.
Only Free Tiles Can Be Removed
You cannot match every identical pair you see. A tile first needs to be unlocked.
In Aztec Mahjong, a tile becomes available when its two adjacent sides are open. Select one unlocked tile and then choose another unlocked tile showing the same symbol. The matching pair disappears from the board.
This rule makes position just as important as the picture printed on each tile.
Two matching symbols may be visible, yet one can remain trapped between other pieces. You need to clear surrounding tiles before that pair becomes useful.
Look for Moves That Open the Board
Removing the first available pair is not always the smartest choice. Some tiles block several others. Clearing those pieces can reveal more possible matches.
It helps to look at the outer parts of the layout first. Tiles with open sides give you immediate options and may uncover pieces underneath or beside them.
The game also includes a Shuffle option that can rearrange the remaining symbols when needed.
Clear All 20 Layouts
A level finishes when you remove every tile from the board.
Aztec Mahjong does not require fast reflexes or complicated controls. Everything works through mouse clicks. The challenge comes from spotting identical symbols and understanding which pieces are currently free.
Find an available pair, remove it, check which new tiles become usable, and continue until the board is empty. With 20 stages to complete, Aztec Mahjong gradually gives you more complicated arrangements to untangle.
